Rylenz is a mutli-faceted dj, musician, artist, poet, and activist based in Washington, D.C. Originally trained in opera and classical voice, he crafts sets with the precision of a Bach cantata and the flair of an impressionist painter, blending deep and Afro house grooves, progressive melodies, and thumping bass rhythms to create euphoric musical odysseys that reveal the untamable spirit in each of us.

After the pandemic, Rylenz traded the stages of the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center for warehouses and festivals. Once he experienced the catharsis of face-melting bass and the euphoria of bodies uniting over beats, he catapulted into a world of sound and uninhibited movement. With deck skills honed in Tasha Blank’s acclaimed Powerhouse DJ (PhDJ) school, a Rylenz set is a sonic chrysalis where dance is dopamine, movement is medicine, and the collective communion of strangers jumping in unison can change lives.
